Snowing in May
Holy Cow - it is about 80 degrees and snowing - you've got to love the Cottonwood Trees! ACHOOOOOOOOOO!
AB's Team at Lagoon
AB had a big clogging competition at Lagoon Friday and Saturday. It was quite the event and she did great. She even tried out for the All American team. It turns out that she didn't make the all American team but did make "Jr All American". It was a fun weekend and her team did great - they took first place in their division. Go EXTREME RHYTHM FUSION!
Dog Gone
Well most of you probably heard that we got a new puppy! But it took a few hours before I realized that I couldn't do the puppy thing right now in our busy lives. She found a great family in American Fork. She was a beautiful and perfect Toy Poodle. And as I look at these pictures I miss her a lot. We will just have to enjoy Sadie and remind ourselves that this summer will be easier without a new puppy!

We got to talk to Elder C yesterday, it was so great. He sounds happy and healthy, it was hard to have to say goodbye and actually hang up. We found out (after much probing) that he lives in an apartment with no heat, no hot water and he and his companions wash all their clothes in the sink. It's like a big camping trip and he is loving it. In his own words, " I just want to share a short experience I had yesterday at church. I was sitting next to Brother N, the old guy who I baptized on Saturday, and during sacrament meeting he tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was the one who baptized him on Saturday. I told him yes, it was me and he stuck out his hand for me to shake it. I shook his hand and he told me that he was really grateful for me. I was overwhelmed. It was the coolest thing ever to know that the work I'm doing is helping people in their lives. He had me write my name on a piece of paper so that he could always remember. It was really cool, and I can't describe in words the joy that I felt at that moment."
Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day everyone! Yesterday was a great day because we got to talk to Elder C. He is doing fantastic. I also got a new bicycle - it's an old fashioned looking bike with fenders, chain guard, spring seat and a basket. Check out Miss M - straw hat and all! The bikes makes you feel like a "regular lady"!!!

Team Dance at Lagoon

Clogging Competition at Lagoon
Saturday Boo had Clogging at Lagoon. It was a fun day, she and her team danced great. The best I have seen them perform. Boo continues to amaze us with her progress in the world of clogging. The little girls tagged along and spent the day riding rides. LAGOON it's what fun is! Actually the jury is still out on what fun actually is..... I'm not sure if Lagoon is even in the running.
The First Baptism
In my missionary's own words, "On Saturday we had our first baptism!!! It was really the coolest thing ever. Missionaries have been visiting him for a while, and finally he made the choice. It was really awesome, he wanted me to baptize him! I was really nervous, especially because when we were getting ready before the service, our Mission President walked in!! It really was so awesome and I`m so glad he was there. It was on Saturday, during the baptism, that I really realized what missionary work was all about. It`s about loving people and helping them come unto Christ and change their lives through repentence, baptism, the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end.We have 2 more baptisms this Saturday and I can´t wait.!"
Junior Prom
Saturday was Junior Prom - we found this dress in Hawaii. Isn't she beautiful. Her date told her,"The teacher taking the ticket just gave me a look like I was the luckiest boy in the world. And I just gave him a look back that said I KNOW!" Needless to say she had a great time.

Duolusions of Grandeur is comprised of two seasoned, wily, and surprisingly attractive middle-aged men who decided they wanted to play their favorite songs on acoustic guitars. Our favorite thing to do was boogie board... Boo looks like a natural but in truth we all got rolled like donuts several times!
Spring Break in Hawaii
We had a fabulous time in Hawaii over spring break. We played in the ocean; swam with the Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles), drove the never ending, ever ralphing road to Hana; feasted at a Luau; snorkeled with amazing sea creatures; made kuikui nut necklaces; but mostly recharged our batteries with the warm Hawaiian sunshine!
